Here and There and There all over again

Routine. As a woman I find that in some parts of my day I revel in certain things. The morning seems to be when I need it. Get up, shower, have coffee, eat a bagel, watch 15 to 30 minutes of news or a TiVo'd show, drink a 2nd cup of coffee during that time, check work email during that time, get ready for work, make sure Melanie has an outfit ready, make sure all her daycare items are together for Matt to take her in, get her daycare note together, make sure any mail we need to get out the door is in my purse for mailing on the drive home later in the day, gather my laptop, gather my purse and cell phone, finally... head out the door. These are all the things I do each work morning.

The rest of my day is dynamic. I get into the office by 8:30 and it's go-go-go until 4:30 pm when I have to leave to pick up our baby girl. I get to take a breath when I go for lunch... thank goodness for having teammates that leave for lunch each day! It helps my sanity that is for sure. After 4:30, it's back to routine... I won't bore you with the specifics. Of course, it includes logging into my work email and making sure all is well... maybe even working some if needed. :)

It always seems like I am running from place.... to place.... to place.... with hardly any time to breathe. I am amazed at the power of prayer to help me through the day. Each night before I go to bed I spend a moment with God to convey my thankfulness for that day. If you would have asked 10 years ago if I would be in Indiana and have a toddler, I wouldn't have believed you. But here Matt and I are... and all of it is true.

For all of you that are crazy-busy but loving every minute of it... there are others like you out there! Thank your higher-power for the capability to be doing it all. Most importantly... remember to have some downtime to replenish your spirit, soul, and mind. For me... that means an upcoming bed-and-breakfast trip in a couple weeks! Woo hoo! I can't wait.
